You want one in your area? Then organize it. IIRC OC had a lot of discussions about holding one, and then Stephen (Karstic) kind of got the ball rolling for the first one and since then I kind of kept it going. I think it's about 3 years now that we have had pretty much a monthly M&G.

Same thing for North LA/South Valley area: there was discussion about holding one, and after the first one we have had it going pretty much on the monthley basis.

I know the 909'rs have them about twice a year, the Ventura folks had theirs maybe only once. If you want one, step up to the plate and keep it going. People will always bitch about time/date/location, but don't let that bother you. Suck it up, schedule one and they'll either show up or they will not. It's funny to see that people outside of OC are asking for a floating location. I guess that they are asking for a floating location so that there could be one closer to them, but it's simple: you want one, post it up. If you don't then deal with what's out there :D :D :D

On a serious note, I appreciate the time and work that goes into the M&G's. Though I have only made 3 or 4 in the past year, I have enjoyed them. I know that Remi seems to catch most of the crap, some in fun, but I am sure it gets old. I am guilty of pickin' on folks, especially Remi and Johnny.

I think the thread about rotating the days is the best thing that could happen to the M&G. Now the only thing would top that is if MORE folks show and participate.

I will not be at this next one becuase of school.

m&g's rock. i usually attend the north county san diego one becuase it is where i am durring the week. (don't tell anyone that that it is actually a kind of dual club event!) it is just about always on tuesday (though we did thursday after july 4th) and at the same place for at least a couple of years now.. a few people can't make it due to school or something else popping up but it always seems to work out.we usually end up with about 15-20 people there. some bring their wifes or girlfriends and even the kids. everyone has a great time and plenty of beer/soda and pizza/salads are consumed. it's always going to be a pain to get eveyone there. remi is doing a good job to get/keep any event going. having it generaly at the same place and the same time should actually let people plan ahead to go to it. if you want to have an event closer to home then he is correct, someone has to to bite the painful bullet and organize!

Yup the NC-M&G is the best. Lost of nice scenery and the beer is good. the weakest turnout was like 6 people. Funny how tuesday's was a changed date and yet the turnout was great.
