Maybe THIS is the place to talk about keeping out trails clean.
I'll start.
Okay, so I don't live in Arizona, I have logged a few miles with my older brothers who both live in Queens Creek (outside of Apache Jct..)
All three of us own Cherokees and have enjoyed some great wheelin' that Arizona has to offer.
But are Cherokee owners the only ones who bring trash bags with them?
I'm beginning to think so. We had followed some back trails by Lake Sequaro (I know I spelt that wrong! ;) ) After reaching a dirt bike riding area we found where some fools had unloaded a pick-up full of trash. I'm not thinking these people were not off-roaders at all, but everyone hadto drive right past the pile of crap in order to leave the riding spot.
We stopped and pulled out some trash bags and started bagging up what we could. And not another soul stopped to help us as they were leaving. That was until another XJ came bye and also pulled out a trash bag. We only had room to grab a bag or two per rig so we were ready to head out when two other XJs stopped, pulled out some trash bags and dug in.
I wish I had had my camera with us. It looked like a small club outing!
Anyway, by the time we had loaded up the only thing left was a washer, and some kid (I don't remember his name , but he had the most thrashed Cherokee I had ever seen!) and his friend were tieing it to what was left of his roof. I left that afternoon with a greater respect for you Zonies!
All I can say is thanks! Would it be okay to say I was 'proud' of you guys?
Well , I was and am.
Great job!
