double cardan question

I've looked but haven't found the answer to this question.

Has anyone successfully replaced the rubber boot after it has coma apart? I have a neopren boot for a small import ball joint/tie rod end boot and it looks like a fit. My driveshaft is good otherwise. I just want to get more life out of it because parts are hard to get up here.

I use shock boots. But anything to protect it will do fine.

Clean it real good, add some more grease preferable from some grease that should have came with that import boot.......
