Arlovski should have taken his a$$ to the ground if he wanted that belt back. I wonder if he stood up b/c he wanted to show that his chin wasn't glass?

I don't know, but I agree. What a freakin' let down that fight was. There is no reason to stand up against Tim. Exploit his weakness, avoid his strong points. You don't need him to get comfortable.

Well, that was kind of a let down. Tito vs Shamrock was too short, and Silvia vs Arlovski was too long. That first fight was pretty good... I don't think I've ever seen that much blood in the UFC before. Wish they would have shown the other fights.

PS - Told you so :D

man, both fights were a dissapointment. That ref stoppage in the ortiz/shamrock fight was BS IMO...the old man has got a waaaaaay thicker skull than that...probably would have lasted another round anyway.
I have no idea what arlovski was doing, but based on that fight, he didn't deserve the belt in any way. hopefully he will get his shit together while he works his way back from the bottom. On the other hand, I don't think that silvia deserves the belt either...the guy is a flat-footed slouch and I can't appreciate his fighting technique or his ability...it'll be interesting to see Monson and silvia go at it...

The ref seemed to stop it way to early... considering the first match there was blood everywhere and it was not stopped.. shamrock could hold more then that... and sylvia seemed scared to go in for the take down instead it was like a boxing match

Shamrock was out. Yeah he could have got up and kept fighting if Tito got off of him, but he wouldn't have done that... he would have just kept pounding him. I was disappointed, but it was fair.
