who in AZ has done it and left the doors on and functional?

Very interested in looking at rigs in AZ to see how you did it

Im conisdering 2 x 6 x 3/16" tube

cutting off the inside body seam and welding it up

then also sheeting the Uniframe with steel angle

legging between the frame and rocker replacement and then sheeting between the 2

any thoughts?

pics?

Rick Norman did it..without leaving the doors... RawBrown and I have talked about doing this numberious times and it's gonna take alot of sheetmetal work to make this happen.. If you could build a Jig for a large circular saw to cut the diffrent layers of sheetmetal at the same time you could make this a quick job.. Then plate it up with 3/16ths and weld away... add some internal 1x1 angle iron for ribbing and it's be stout!!!

Rick is done nicely but I like my doors being about 0* outside right now.

As for the Cut Im thinking that a plasma cutter and a clamped on straight edge is the way to go

Brian, you can do it....you may not be able to go as high as this, but it can be done:

Cut as high up as you can, insert square tube and 3/16 plate, stick it together with some JB Weld, then go wheelin' ;)
