front driveshaft question

when i replaced my engine i pulled the trans and transfer case with it. therefor i had to remove the driveshafts. when i put the new engine in both shafts were short. the rear i bolted in and it stretched back out so i figure the front is the same way. but i cant get it to work. does anyone knwo any easy to bolt the front shaft up? thanks

Umm, I'm not sure I fully understand the question. Putting in driveshafts shouldn't be hard at all.

Are you talking about the slip yoke of the driveshaft. The rear slips "in and out" at the tail of the transfer case and the front has a slip connection in the center. You can pull the two halves further apart.
