Dana 35 without C-Clips

I am swapping out the spider gears from an 86 into my 90. My axle in the rear has C-Clips so it was no problem getting the spider gears out of it. The axle from the 86 doesnt have c-clips that im seeing. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to pull the axles out so i can get the gears that are on the ends of them. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

its probably like a ford nine inch where the axles are bolted up to the axle with the brakes. but im not sure havent seen a non c clip d35. hope this helps.

There is a flange on the brake end of the axle, should have 4 bolts holding it on. Remove the bolts and the axle shaft should slide out.

If you don't have c clips then you need to remove the backing plates,drums & you will see a cut out in hub where you can access the outer bearing covers, remove the 4 bolts & cap then the axles will slide right out of there. Good luck.
