Anyone know if a 95 outputshaft is the same as 97?

i believe they are both 23 splined, but the actual style of the tcase output may be different.

I know they take different SYE kits but was thinking that it nay be due to the housing not using a cable for the speedo.
I pulled my drive shaft last night and found out whoever did the hack & tap didn't get anywhere close to center for the bolthole. A club member gave me a 95 output shaft. Just hate to pull it all apart to find out it wont work.

95 and ealier get the flange and bearing retainer plate
96 and later just get the flange

Thanks, was hoping the change was just for the housing sence 96+ use a speed sensor instead of a cable.

'91+ ALL use a VSS instead of a cable, but '96+ is where they changed the design of the output shaft and yoke on the driveline, THAT'S why they're different.
