tcase swap (taking the plunge)

I just bought an AX-15 to put into my '87 Comanche and I'm going to put an NP208J behind it (with Dana 300 thick clocking ring to counter the input gear depth difference between new school and old school 23 spline) I like the 208 due to it's strength (it was built to withstand AMC V8s in full size Jeeps after '79) and the fact it's already fixed yoke at both ends.
At the same time, I'm swapping out a 2wd BA 10/5 (finishing the 4x4 conversion I started before I sold my house and ended up with no shop to work in almost 2 years ago) Any sage words of advice?
