Making Over the Knuckle DOUBLE SHEAR?

Well, I want to run both my custom TiE Rod and my custom Drag Link over the knuckle. On the passenger side, my drag link mounts over to the knuckle also.
How do I mount my tie rod and drag link heim joints above the knuckle?? I need them to be double shear so it's strong. You can't just run a bolt through both, that's too much leverage on the bolt.

There needs to somththing else there!
Anyone do this?

The setup I saw with double shear mounts used a piece of 1/8th inch steel running fore and aft welded to the knuckle with a couple of bends to line it up with the hole for the tie rod bolt. The only problem I saw was the force on the bolt was applied sideways to the strap they made, so I don't know that they gained much strength.

lot's of people do it single shear, and though it makes me nervous, I've never seen a failure. I would do it as mentioned above with a strap welded to the knuckle. Yes, it wouldn't add much in that orientation, but it would help.
