I just finished installing RE 4.5 inch lift and AA sye on a 1990. Where can I find info on how to check the driveshaft angles to see if I need shims?
I measured the front driveshaft and yoke to yoke on the rear and there is
only an inch and a half difference will a front driveshaft work in the rear?
Thanks for any info.

Dont u have to be a degree or two lower on the pinion so that when u give it torqe it will roll up in line with the driveshaft?
That pic is what it should look like under load (torqe). RCP

Maybe, but you sure wouldnt know since youve never actually measured your angles! When is the last time you had vibes on the trail? Most start at about 35MPH,so unless you drive like an A-hole on the street, you shouldnt be seeing a ton of axle wrap(on the trail with gears is another story).

My son and myself both run 5" of lift with no SYE or vibration. His is a 90 mine an 88. I had quite a bit of yoke showing until I put my 44 in and now I have about a half of an inch. I also have a 6 degree shim. Of course with out a sye I have a totally different pinion angle to get to then you would.
