I've heard that TJ flares will fit an XJ. Do you trim the fender wells? Do they provide additional clearance? How well to the fit? Look?

be honest now, did you search this subject?
if you did I bet you would find lots of threads, and pictures.
but to get you started,
they fit, with trimming and drilling of new holes, they cover more tire and look is a personal thing.
I have them on mine and I like them a lot, looks dif which is what I go for. others have put all rears on with no fronts, another dif look that works for some.

I cut a pair all up just so I could tape em on, get thru inspection, and rip em off. And that's exactly what I did. As-Is they don't conform to the body at all, but maybe I just had too much fender cut off. Also, if you are doing it temporarily, use body molding tape, it's like cement, and yet comes off suprisingly easy. The 3m doublesided tape (regular stuff) didn't hold worth anything)
