Limited Slip in a XJ

I was wondering did any XJ's come from the factory with a limited slip? If so what was it called in the options? I have a 01 Limited and I have the list of all the options my jeep has from emailing jeep. I don't see anything that says limited slip? Also did all jeeps come with a 20 gal fuel tank?

Thanks for any help!

trac- lock

check the inside of your glove box for a sticker that says you have a limited slip

they aren't the best limited slip out there.

yes the 01's all came with 20 gallon tanks

I have a LSD but on my build sheet they mark it as "[FONT=PrimaSans BT,Verdana,sans-serif]DSAP - Anti-Spin Differential Rear Axle" Look for that on your sheet.

Mine's marked 'DSAP - Trac-Lok Differential Rear Axle'. Looks like they may have changed the wording depending on year.

i have also read on here that some people burn the clutches in the factory trac-loc in a single offroad outing but are good for the street. heard they often need to be rebuilt b/w 40-70k. also don't forget if you change your axle oil you need to add the special additive.

I don't think that I have it. This is what I all have. The only thing I can find is DHAP Lock-Up Torque Converter.

I think they changed the wording depending on the axle itself, I have a 00' as well but I have a 8.25 instead of the D35 so possibly it was called different things for different axles?

Not to go OT here, but I thought that the Tow Group meant the elimination of the rear bar.

Nope. It was the Up-Country suspension group that deleted the rear swaybar.

I am new to jeeps and also lifting them, but huh????:confused1

I was laughing about the notation on your XJ's build sheet that said it had rack and pinion steering. The XJ always used the traditional steering box set-up. As for the "flexing" remark, it is intended as a joke, as a rack&pinion set-up with a solid axle would not be able to flex due to the design of the R&P attachment to the body and the axle. There was offense intended towards you. Sorry if you felt that way.

Seriously, no offense taken at all. I just didn't get it since I am new to all this stuff. Thanks for explaining it instead of just saying it was just a joke and keeping me confused.

Cheers!!!
