Back of the engine is a bit vague, but there is a freeze plug on the rear of the head that has been known to spring a leak.

Three different leaks as it turns out. Replacing all hoses and water pump for good measure...thanks to all! Ball joints are next!

I would much rather change the hoses and the water pump ANY day, than have to screw with the ball joints, and the stuff that comes off before you even GET to the ball joints. Good luck, and remember, somebody went to collage to learn how to design that pita!
