Electric fan switch

My problem is that the electric fan will kick on when the engine is cold. It will even kick in at the first start up after it's been sitting all night.
Being in Colorado, the outside temp is pretty low these days. So, something is screwy around here.

The fan will cycle on and off all through the warming process.
Then, I think, it runs relatively normally after it warms up (maybe not).

I have replaced the temperature sender by the thermostsat and the one by the firewall (before I noticed the fan running wierd).

After searching the archives, it seems I should replace the switch for the fan.

Can anybody tell me where it is or what it looks like?

First, is your heater control on Defrost? This will turn on your A/C and thus, the fan.

If yours is a '92 (from your profile), it's on the thermostat housing.

I have a '92 as well & my fan also kicks on when in defrost mode. Everytime the A/C compressor cycles. Think this is normal, yet annoying. You could wire in a switch or warm up your jeep on a different mode. Good Luck!
