how to test tps

how to test tps help please

i read a post that said volts should be around 5 at wot and .6 at idle, which wires am i testing for voltage off of?? my tranny wont shift till redline, checked tv cable,

well i just tested all the wires independantly, the 4 wire setup, that is the one that deals with the tranny i heard. and 2 of the wires are at 11-12 volts idle or wot and the other two are at .8 idle or wot, so im guessing tps is bad right?
 
Where did you find or measure 11 to 12 volts?:shocked: Thats sounds like real bad news!

Pin A to B on the three wire ECU/TPS connection should read 5.0 volts with power (ignition switch on) on but engine off (not started or running). B to C should read 0.80 volts (but it can be adjusted, set if it is close like +/- 0.20 volts).
