Anybody got any ideas for me? Recently my battery died and upon replacing it I find there's some sort of problem with my stock alarm. Locking and unlocking the driver's side door via the key does not disable the alarm as usual so I'm sorta stuck? Its a 1992 if it matters!
Thanks in advance,
Kevin

On my brother in law's 91 he has to lock and unlock on the passenger side.

Do the internal switches die often does anyone know?

I have a 92' and since I no longer have the remote either, I just do the key in the driver door thing. Not sure what else you could do. Sorry, I'm not really contributing anything here. :(

Wait, try the key in the tailgate, supposedly that can do it too.

This may help as well:
To make it permanant, you need to locate
the FACTRY ALARM DISARM wire
(green/orange|-|)
in the drivers kick panel area and splice
the same guage wire to it, then ground to
the chassis with a 1/2 inch self tapping
screw.

Hey thanks Unreal, I'll have to try that one tomorrow, or later tonight if I can get the means together to get necessary stuff(I'm stuck at my apartment and have some tools but definetly nothing electrical)
