Just checking interest. Anyone want to get out on Saturday 12-30-06 and do something kind of easy.

We can go out and play on the rocks at Chimney Rock or do Redington Loop or go play at 3 Feathers some.

If interested the details:

Meet at: Circle K on Tanque Verde east of Houghton Rd.

Time: 0800, leave 0830

CB: Channel 4

Depending on which we decide to do, may need to bring lunch etc.

See if we can get a group together. The following weekend I'm "on call" so no play time that weekend for Jim.

I'm up for any trail in Tucson I haven't done, which means all of them but half of one ;). Unfortunately I won't make it this time. Thanks Matt, I forgot to mention the welding that had to be done on my bumper too. Hopefully I can get everything repaired soon. It's refreshing to find an XJ club where the runs are actually led by XJs. If you guys happen to run across a couple of KC light covers there in Tucson snatch them up will you?
Think about coming up here for a run or two before the weather changes. Have fun and Merry Christmas!!. Sandy

Well, My XJ is still gassed and ready to go from the last run I missed due to kidney stones. I am scheduled for Surgery Thursday but its supposed to be a simple outpatient thing so I am hoping to make it. I need to flex up my rig with the new trimming and larger tires. + I just really would like to end the year on a trail run instead of a driveway run. LOL

Willing to let a stock Yota go along with you guys? I can't wheel the wife's WJ right now.

I've got the necessary safety items and such.

I think we can handle that,as long as the rig can handle it, unless someone else objects i don't have any problems with it.

We have Steve running a J-20 truck with us until his XJ is done!

Looking forward to meeting you!

Well I might bring the cherokee out this trip. I have taken my xj to chimney rock before. What’s the plan for the day besides crawling on some boulders? Is there anyone thinking about going down to three feathers later or running the chimney rock trail a bit? If so I’ll prolly bring the truck.

I think it’s great if members want to bring their other rig to an event. The participation would be welcome.

:eyes: Personally I dont care what people wheel out there as long as there safe and capable, then lets roll. I used to wheel a lifted 93 dodge dakota with jeeps, thats how I QUICKLY realized that cheap RULE and bought one.

I say Bring it, Wheel it, and ROCKon baby!!!!!!

See ya Saturday!!!!!

Im not "Planning" on going to 3 feathers or doing the trail. I really like the area right there around the bolder farm up to the fence line and it is a great place to just pull out a table and chairs and watch people climb stuff..thats our plans but you know how the plans can change:sure:

As of now, my plan is to go and bring my mother along. She is from Washington and has NEVER been wheeling in the desert. I probably wont do ALOT of crazy wheelin, since I will have her along, but ya just never know....

Looking forward to it.:yelclap:

I’ll have an open seat in the truck if none in the xj’s. I’m going to bring the truck so I can swing by three feathers, maybe frog holler afterwards if there’s time.

Bring him on, worse comes to worse I can strap him to my roof rack, I don't have a back seat in my rig!!

I'm sure we can find a place for him. Steve offered a seat in the J-20, that's a nice rig!!

Mt. Lemmon will be packed with folks. Try the Desert Museum if they like wildlife, or there are several museums and decent shopping in/around campus.

Getting pictures and video ready but what an awesome day.

Started with 3 XJ's and a J-20 truck (Steve didn't bring the XJ out of mothballs yet  GRIN!!)

Hooked up with a Range Rover that got stood up by some folks that were supposed to meet him and his guests.

Gavin (Fergie) and his guest Josh (hope I got that right) hooked up with us later in the day.

Also had Andrew (Lil RhodyXJ) riding with Justin. That might have been a mistake. I know I heard Andrew say more than once he was on the verge of dying!! :gag: Was great meeting all the folks I hadn't met before and all got to meet Mrs. AZDesertRhino.

Cool weather , saw some snow, saw a fair amount of mud and got to play on the rocks. Excellent company, wheeling and weather. It doesn't get any better.

Thanks to all! It was a really great day!
