Are the Cheapo Autozone temp guages accurate?

I have cheapo $20 Autozone temp guage and was wondering if anyone has had bad experences with temp guages reading wrong?

Ive used a few in differnt vehicles and had 2 of them stop working accuratly after a long long time. they both failed to the extream hot side of the guage so it was obviously not working right

Probably more accurate than their employees. Oh wait, maybe not.

well if you are having overheating issues seems like a bare bones autometer is a good investment. You can get them for $40-50 which is cheap peace of mind. It would drive me crazy wondering if my engine temp and trany temp gauages were giving false reads.
