Rear axle vent tube fitting

There is fitting at the frame above the bump stops that the rear axle vent hose fits on. Mine seems plugged. I tried blowing it out and the hose just blows off as if it is plugged at the fitting. Should this fitting be replaced or by pass it and run the line somewhere else.
 
Ok where ever you run the hose, just make sure it has a filter on the end.
 
part #J5352955 Good luck finding one, the front breather on a D30 is the same if I remember correctly. I would try to find something similar or can you clean the one you have?
 
Yeah I think I blew it out. I put the rubber nozzle right on the end of it and blew it out with 125 lbs of air. Seems to be working now. Must of gummed up when I took it swimmin:confused1
 
I use a filter from a fish tank, it looks like a grinding stone, it is very small, and filters through the stone.
