ok...newbie here. had some questions. some info about my beloved jeep:
1995 grand cherokee laredo 5.2 156k miles and it runs like a champ, borla exhaust, gettin an intake real soon and i want a 3" lift when finances allow it.
im gonna be lookin for tires within the next few weeks, and wanted to get some nice beefy ones for the winter. i heard that you could squeeze 30's on there with the stock suspension, even though i believe the manual says 29 inches max. anyone have 30's on their stock jeep, and is there any rubbing at all? whats some good reasonably priced tires. also, whats some good 3" lifts out there?

I've seen a bunch of WJ's and ZJ's running around this area with rubicon 16" and the GoodYear MT's they put on them, stock suspensions.

You do realize this is a Cherokee forum, not Grand Cherokee right? I mean you will be able to get some help, but the knowledge base won't be that extensive.

Now from what I have read on Grands (ZJ's) you can get a 30" tire stock backspacing on without a lift with just a small bit of trimming of the front fascia where is wraps into the fender well. As far as lifts go Taraflex is supposed to be the best for ZJ's. A 3" should let you run 31's with out much hassle, maybe 32's with a bit of trimming.

NAGCA (http://www.nagca.com/nagca.htm) (North American Grand Cherokee Association) will be your bread, and butter for your ZJ.
