Is there a Cousin to the MJ?

Hello,

I have been looking for a 4.0 AW4 equipped MJ, but haven't had much luck yet. Is there a "Cousin" to the MJ? You know Ford Ranger / Mazda B2200 sort of deal...

Is the same truck perhaps built under a different badge?

Only relative is the XJ, for which the motor/tranny is a direct swap.

oh, and I hear some Dakota tail-lights are the same

Thanks, I was specifically wondering about the Dakota... but taillights aren't going to get me close enough.

Dodge Dakota taillights are not the same. They may look the same but they are totally different. The Comanche taillights have 3 bulbs in them while the Dakota taillights have 2 bulbs and the taillights mount differently too.

if you need drivetrain parts an XJ is the best.
If you need anything from the doors back it will have to be fabricated or pulled from another MJ.
Parts are getting scarce. Especially decent tailgates and bed sheetmetal.

The doors on a Comanche are the same as the front doors on a 4 door Cherokee of the same year.
