I posted this in the thread in the IC forum, but thought I'd post it here also now that this forum is up:

I think it's great that you folks have the interest and support to get another chapter going. We knew it was just a matter of time before an Arizona chapter materialized. We are going to set you up with your own temporary chapter forum to accomodate getting yourselves organized, which will become your permanent forum as long as the chapter proceess is completed.

You will need to determine your chapter officers, decide on bylaws, then submit a request to the Board of Directors including your officers, by-laws, and a list of your AZ members. The Board will then vote to approve your chapter.

You do not have to adopt the national NAXJA bylaws as your own. Most chapters have done this as a matter of convenience. I'd recommend going through our bylaws and eliminating those items that don't apply to your chapter, and making some slight adjustments in a few other items. You don't need a big committee to do this, really one person could go through and do some cutting, pasting, and simple rewriting and come up with something that could work better than the national bylaws, then post it up for comment and approval.

Please contact me and I'll help/advise any way that I can.

... counting the days untill i can put my name in red. 2 months, 21 days.... i can still be a non-affiliated with Naxja wheeler at the same trails coincidentally and at unofficial runs (like the gap saturday) untill then. This is great to see Arizona XJers get a place of their own.

AWESOME!!! You guys have your own place.

Now I say let CommandoXJ96 turn red a little early. The more the merrier.

And I ALREADY wish I lived in Arizona. Just don't work there so the commute would suck!

Right now I am fly'n back and forth between AZ and OR about every week so not a lot of time. I will be back in AZ for good Feb 5th and will help support you all if there is anything I can help with.

Good luck to you guys! Glad to see another chapter arising. This is what I like to see. Hopefully we can get rid of Oregon one of these days! :D

Keep up the enthusiasm and hard work. It'll pay off in the end.

At least now I'll have a place to go to when I'm heading out to the Zone to do some wheelin'.
All I know is that place out at Lake Sequaro (sp?) and some dirt road that runs along the Salt River.....
Get it going my friends!
