I ran into a problem today. :passgas:

Im in the process of lowering the cross brace for the transfer case. When I went to take the drivers side stud out it came out really easy. The stud and the nut in the frame where stripped and I have no idea how it was holding the brace up. So im thinking that a tap and die will fix the problem am I correct?

As long as the nut is still welded to the inside of the rail and there's some decent metal left to it, just run a slightly larger drill through it and tap it to the size that corresponds with the drill bit you used. Find a bolt that threads into that and there you go.

I like to add a self-tapping bolt on each side along with the 2 factory fasteners... gives a bit of insurance.
