I've been searching and cant seem to find any place here that we save write-ups at.... If we don't have a specified place, does everyone think it might be a good idea to create one? I've noticed that write-ups, no matter how good they are seem to filter to the bottom of the forums and lost as people stop posting in them. I think that might be a reason new guys can't find stuff as well. They search using terms that don't quite jive with the thread titles and the write ups don't come up, but tons of other crap does. I guess I'm just saying that we should have a place to save all the write up's people do, that's all.

I think there should be, just for write ups, no posting replys, just showing how to build/do something. PM Kudzu, she wants a few writeups for the newsletters. Also, http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=19712, the top thread, log in, and thier is some write ups there. Members only can view the link, sorry users.

There's a section for tech papers, but I don't think it's been updated in a while. You might want to talk to an admin about how things can get submitted there.

just looked at the tech page and I have to say, about 75% of those write ups are asked at least twice a month. We really need to see about making a publicly available write up area. I agree, no posting, but just a place to view them. Kinda like stickies, but not taking up shat loads of room at the top of each forum like they are now.

There used to be a link from the front page to them but it's long gone. I've asked for it to be added back in but somehow it never happens.

There is actually a better link: http://www.naxja.org/techArticles.html The link posted above is for member only tech articles. The one that I just posted has articles listed that are accessible to both members and non members.

Responded in the Members forum, as that aspect is more appropriate there. :compwork:
