Shocks too long

I just installed some Bilstien 5150. The problem is with the adaptor that converts the top to a stud add about 1.5" which I did not count on. If I replace the loop on the top with a stud, would this reduce the over all length? TIA.

it will reduce up travel and give you more down travel .i forgot to calulate the adaptors on my 5150s also. i lost .4 from the bar pin eliminators and 1.5 from the stud adaptor.i ended up with 7.6inches down travel and 4.19 inches uptravel.
