I made some shims from some Aluminum we had in our machine shop, They are 1 inch thick is that ok? and I made them to exactly 4* What you guys think?
It is not just some cheap piece of Sh** aluminum its tough stuff. also Which way do they install? I know the thicker part goes towards the rear but will there not be preasure on the centering pin because of the angle or now, and angle side up or down? I would assume no matter which way u flip it the angle is the same.

just checked the aluminum is good to 40,000psi

If they are 1" thick then you have more than 4*.They should taper down to about 1/8" thick on the thin end and probably be no more than 6" long.
i put flat side toward spring, but it should make no difference.
