roof rack

Ive got a buddy that is going to sell me his old roof rack for 75 bucks. But its off a grand cherokee, so Im wondering will it fit? dont have much time to drive out to his house and then get it up there to see. Wondering if anyone else would know?

what Grand cherokee is it, ZJ or WJ. was it a universal rack that just mounted on top of his oem rails? do you have the oem roof rack rails and crossbars on your xj? if its just a universal, realize that they sell cheaper roof racks on ebay between 100 -150 shipped. also check its condition. you probably don't want a rusty rack on top of your car.

I dont remeber what year his GC was. Yes it was just mounted on his OEM rails and yes I have mine. I guess what I should have done was asked more size wise will it fit?

why dont you ask HIM to let you see if it fits?

id imagine that it would fit. I've put our Warrior basic 45x55 rack on cherokees and grand cherokees by just drilling and bolting it to the factory racks.
