What Size Hose?

88 xj Reman 4.0L 5k mi, AW4 Auto Tranny.

Saw an article about cleaning up the vacuum hoses.

What size hose do I need to replace the two larger diameter rubber hoses going into the RUSTY'S AIR TUBE? They are on each side of the Tube.

I know I can take it off and show the guy at the autoparts but I didn't wish to remove it until I had the correct size hoses and can begin the mod mentioned in the article.

umm, its really easy to just pull into the parking lot at autozone or something similar, pull the vaccume line and walk in there....if they don't have what you're looking for, just throw the old line back on. I donno, it seems pretty easy to me, but maybe you can't do that.....so my guess is it'll be like a 5/8 or a 1/2 size line. I donno, just a guess.

1/2" and don't tell them it's vacuum line. That is just a standard oil and gas rated hose.

mine was 5/8" but thats for a 2001

just pull one hose and measure.......what's the big deal?
