Hey gang,

Enjoy!

Now we just need to go test it out and wheel it!

Nice looking ride! A word of caution, you should never use concrete blocks to support your junk, they will crush in a heartbeat, blocks are for walls not jackstands.

Thanks, That was very temporary. I actually went out and bought (4) 6 ton jackstands the next day. Then I removed the redneck-style jackstands and was good to go.

You mean from the solid urthene mounts? Or from drive line angles?

From the motor mounts. Amazingly, we have no driveline vibes, thanks to the AA SYE, new driveshafts, and great angles.....

FWIW, you're only supposed to use cinder blocks to support a vehicle in your front yard.

I thought you had to be in a mobile home for that and have 5 dogs.....

Feel free to throw the Redneck jokes.... I am originally from a small country town in Northeast Georgia, so it's nothign new to me....

Just get her out on the trails, let her drive (your Jeep too), and then see if she comes around....

No shake down run at all? Take a quick run up Silverado Canyon.

Robert,

Nice ride for your wife! I am trying to talk my wife into something like that (she drives and Audi A4 Quattro right now) but I think she is leaning more towards a lifted KJ.

Everything really looks good togteher on that TJ. Hope to see some action shots in the very near future.

Thanks! I hope to find a couple of free hours this weekend to get it out and drive it some. Maybe a bouncy trip down Holy Jim....

I still need to get a few tiny things done... speedo not working, rubber bumper for rear tire carrier, check all bolts, and check tire pressure. I also need to get the exhaust looked at. The lower control arm on the passenger side looks like it might hit at full droop and the rear of the exhaust rattles betwween the gas tank skid and shackle.

I got to get it 100% so I can take the XJ apart and get it back together by New Year weekend.

Thanks Coult... Have your wife check out www.lostkjs.com. for KJ ideas and then take her on one of thier runs. There is a SoCal chapter (LostKJsWest). There are a lot of families and female drivers in that group. There are several folks from the XJ world that are involved with the KJ group as well.

Of course, she will miss the power, smooth ride, and fuel economy of the Audi, but don't tell her that!!!

I would let her drive my XJ or the YJ but she cant drive them with manual transmissions :dunno:

I guess its a good reason to finish the full size cherokee :)
