Power shifting the Peugot Ba10/5 will mess-up the roll-pin tin the 1-2 fork (letting the fork slip on the rail and wedge on the crusty and unused portion of the rail...

Really, Ive only seen this one-time before, but the driver(?) slammed into second which went ok, but the rail&shifter traveled a bit further then when he pushed to get through N to get 3rd he ended-up pushing it into 1st gear with the stick haning in what It thought was Neutral (since the 1-2 fork had traveled).

Oh well, you didn't really like that tranny anyway, did you?

If you're certain that that rail won't slide now (remembering that the pattern's are upside-down and backwards once you remove the shifter and look into the tranny -- so the right-most rail needs to move forward), I can't think of anything except a swap that'll get you more than that one gear -- IMHO, it's not really cost effective to rebuild the Ba10/5.
