Tie-Rod Alarm

Today i was going to adjust my 01 sport tie-rod because of vibrations at 50 mph, and when i loosened the nut the horn began beeping non stop??? what kind of sensors are down there and how can i bypass them. The horn stopped after i started up the jeep. There is no after market alarm system on my jeep

if you had your keys in your pocket, maybe you hit the panic button. Thats the only thing i can think of.
