Roll call, who's commiting to be there? We need to represent NAXJA and get at least 20 IC members out to this.

I'm off thursday/fridays, which doesn't seem to work well with the rest of the world.

Updated information:
Joe McFarland (the volunteer coordinator for the PG district of the Uinta) would like to be there to supervise and help us out.
Joe would like to meet at the FS Ranger site in South Fork. The ranger station is on the main canyon road about 100 yards past the turnoff to Tibble Fork Reservoir. It's on the right hand side over a small bridge and through a gate. Joe will be there with the gate open a little before 10:00AM. He wanted to meet there for 2 reasons. First, he thought Tibble would be too crowded to get everyone together and fill out the volunteer forms. Second, he would like to use the utility trailer Rick's bringing to transport some railing up into the canyon. The railing is stored there at the site we'll meet him at.
Things to bring:
Pants, not shorts
Gloves ($1.99 at Harbor Freight)
Water & a lunch
Here's the agenda of projects: Block a couple of illegal bypasses near the main road, repair a very small section of pole and rail fence near Dutchman's Flat, and collect trash at campsites.
The project should only last 3-4 hours. We should be done by 2pm giving us time to play or relax and chat when we're done!

Ok, so 10:00 AM. Might I inquire as to 10:00 AM on which of the glorious 365.25 days of the year? Meet at the Ranger Station on the South Fork Canyon Road. Great, where is "South Fork Canyon Road"... like what county/city? What I-15 exit?
I'm not trying to sound like a jerk, I just have absolutely no idea when or where this is and would like to be involved.
Thanks again,
Jared:patriot:
EDIT - I just saw that this is Saturday July 8th in your first post. But I still don't know where it is :)

It's OK DeadEyeJ. I have never been up there before either. I am just passing on information as I get it so that more know about the service project. I have attached a link to a Forest Service map that shows the trails and the relationship to Heber City.

Got this map on the first Google attempt ....love to see you there Jared.
Take the I-15-Highland Exit (think Cabela's) before you get to Lehi and head East until you find yourself in the mountains. Seems like there's some confusion regarding where to meet at 10 am on July 8th (based on RME posts) and in the past, we've met at the Tibble Fork Res. parking lot for ease of access, location and adequate parking. Not sure what parking space there is at the FS Ranger Station, but if we have 20+ rigs meet there, then need to turn around to head back up North Fork to Tibble.....could result in a traffic jamb.
Someone care to make a judgement call here? I'm still planning on meeting at the Tibble Fork parking lot at 10am.

Where the Ranger station is located, does have a fair amount of open space next to it, but, my guess is they are not anticipating as many rigs as will show up. Maybe 1 or two of our group could go the RS to say we are there, and everyone else just continue up to Tibble and wait/unload, I can't think the rangers would want 20-40 rigs/trucks with trailers trying to turn around on the grass, and then proceeding across traffic :yikes:. Being that late in the day, parking is going to be at a premium anywhere up there. my .02.

I don't think we had any NAXJA folks there, but I didn't know everyone.
Now's the chance for the next project. Forest Lake 7/28-7/29. Check out the other thread in this folder.
