I'm working on my new drivetrain right now and I have concerns about being able to stop at idle with my doubler. I am probably going to get my converter modified. What stall would you guys aim for? All of the info on the web focuses on the drag racing for the most part and I don't think it applies very well to our application. Also what is the stock stall on the converter? I am going to 4 wheel discs and an upgraded MC, so this isn't a substitute for proper brakes, I just want to be sure that every thing works out when I finish up plus it would be nice to optimize the performance for my stroker.
I am looking at a crawl ratio of around 106:1 without factoring in the converter. I don't need that most of the time but I would like to be able to stop when I am in low low range.

Don't worry about it. I've got the same crawl with my doubler and automatic. I can stop just fine in double low. I have a stock master and 1/2 ton Disk/drum brakes.
