Guys im getting ready to do my quarter panels for my XJ and I was woundering what guage steel have you guys used to make the panels for some protection? any imput would be nice... thanks:D

If you mean upper quarter panel protection, I used 3/16" aluminum riveted to the body. I cut & boxed the lower quarter panels using the existing steel.

why aluminum and not steel?

I used 12GA. sheet steel for mine. A good comprimise between weight and strength.
If I were going to do the lower quarters(at bumper height) I'd use something like 3/8" as that area really gets some abuse.
