I have an 89 XJ 4.0 with Stock suspension. I am planning on keeping the suspension stock. Looking through the forums, I have seen pictures of 235/75/15 tires on a stock XJ, but haven't seen pictures of 225/75/15 or 235/70/15 tires. The pictures I've seen of the 235/75 look a little too big with the stock suspension. Post your pictures or let me know what you think of these any of the sizes. Thank you!

I had 235/75/15s on my old jeep and they were fine, maybe a little rub at full turn, but nothing bad. I was happy with them, they were nice off road, better than the 215s.

No rubs on 235/75/15s with my '95 sport.

Its fairly accepted that 235 should have been the stock xj tire size.

there are really 0 issues unless your suspension is sagging, which would cause rubbing, but the rubbing isnt the issue, the sagging suspension is :), and really 0 reason not to go 235. no change in gas mileage or power or anything.

im on my second set of 235s on my 96. tire place told me they rarely, rarely put 225s on xjs, and when they do they are generally street tires and hardly ever in an all terrain.

I;ve run 235's & 30's on sock suspension & stock wheels. No rubbing on either one.
