I'm going to do a WJ driver and pass knuckle swap, custom steering and use the bigger WJ brakes. I'm ready to order the knuckles, I know I need to get 99-04 WJ knuckles but do they need to be from a 4wd? 2wd? does it matter if they had antilock brakes? Will any of them work? looked through alot of write ups on the subject but none specify. Just don't want to spent out for something useless , thanks guys

I know that the knuckle has nothing to do with ABS or Non-ABS it is the same either way. I believe the ABS wheel speed sensor is in the hub/bearing assembly on these. If it follows the norm for recent chrysler products then the knucles will be the same for 2wd/4wd as they are on newer Ram pickups. Not 100% on this though as I can't remember the last time I saw a 2wd Grand.

When I went shopping I never saw a non ABS WJ and I think they never made one. Regardless if you use your exsisting shafts it will not matter. That is the reason you have to use a .25 spacer since the original CV shafts out of a WJ are different in spacing. The knuckles and steering are the same for 2x and 4x. The only difference is the housing asembly and the unit bearings, both not an issue for you.

I am not sure either on the difference between 2wd/4wd. But saying that I'm 95% they are the same. I just bought knuckles and I wasn't asked for 2/4wd at the time and was given the following part numbers:

Right: 5011976AB
Left: 5011977AB
