general leaf spring AAL question

ok some already know I am taking apart a stock s10 Z85 leaf pack to make add a leafs to lift the back of my cherokee
ok so if 2 leafs from the same pack are laying side by side on the floor both have the same amount of arch
only difference is 1 is a couple inches longer than the other
if inserted into another leaf pack, which one will provide more lift
my guess would be the shorter one right
the longer one will provide the better ride though

Although you wouldnt really notice a huge difference in the amount of lift between the two.

thats what I figured the case was but thought I get some other's opinions just to be sure I wasnt off my rocker
