Well the other tread was closed, and the moderators put a note on saying it wasn't cool for me to ask people to do a PM campaign. I'd say its cooler than loosing $300 that you will never see again, but whatever...
Well, I just rechecked my paypal account and a refund just popped up on it. It's less than I had expected but its a refund I guess. Thanks for the advice guys.

Marcus --
I'm glad you received your refund, but I must say that I agree with the Moderators' action. These forums are here for the free exchange of information. This is not the North American 4WD Better Business Bureau. Several people posted with constructive suggestions of steps you could take to resolve your situation. Asking NAXJA members and participants -- who have heard only your side of the story -- to participate in what would essentially be a SPAM assault against a vendor, was inappropriate and uncalled for.
We all take our chances when we order from any vendor, and if we have a problem we generally either get it resolved or we take our lumps.
Sorry, but that's the way I see it.

Actually I got a different one to offer as well for you especially since he's local to you and me :) http://www.fullsizexjgear.com/
I just ordered leaf pack from him and I'm happy and prett satisfied with customer service so far :). Also I believe in supporting local folks who support others (he helped out Sequoia with his truck and trailer when he had to haul his XJ from the Goatman's Land :) ) and his prices are pretty damn competetive!

Guys-
I appreciate all the help, I really do. Eagle, you point is well taken and I definitly feel there is some truth in your argument. I probably should have thought through the action first, but at the time it seemed like a good idea.
What I was thinking was that there might be a chance to settle the issue with a little pressure from the jeep community instead of me taking legal action towards an individual that might have unforseeable and disaterous consiquences for that individual. People say that business is business and all and there is truth to that, but at the same time I personally have a very hard time placing any amount of money over a persons well being. I didn't know the vendors situation, but I do know that if I screwed up, I would hope that a person would give me the benefit of the doubt and go out of his/her way to resolve it in anyways possible without legal action... even though the person would have that right. So anyways, I was trying to exhaust all of the lenient solutions before considering more severe actions (most of which I have done in the last year were the same as the advice given).
I do see from your point and realize that it was perhaps an inappropriate idea for this forum, thanks for the gentle, yet eye-opening perspective.

I'll definitely check into those distributors in the future, I like playdooh

The fault of this rests mostly on shoulders of Marcusguy, I sent out the first part of his order, the second part was on back order to me, when I recieved it I sent it to him not one but two or three times! and the last time was after I had moved to a new local and UPS sent it back to my old place, I found out where it was and went to get it the only thing there was the cardboard wrapper, since it had been delivered and the cardboard was the proof UPS would not cover the loss as it stands today I lost a 35.17 doing buisness with Marcus....
Sometimes things just go crappy, and I did have some big problems over the past year, divorce. lost my house, two building customers screwed me out of nearly 100,000.00 putting my home building buisness into bankruptcy.
Now the Laywers take every thing I make...LOL....I wish everyting could go perfectly...but it doesn't....the cherokee-nation.com is just getting going again after a years absence from teh scene...and I will make other mistakes, I am sure, but I will do my best to turn out the best product I can, for the dollar, and ship as quickas possible, Im still struggling with vendors myself and am driving 250 miles tomorrow to hopefully straighten things out, being small is a big problem when it comes down crunch time the small guy gets pushed to the side... I am in the process of building up inventory on my products to ensure quicker delivery times.
Thanks fo listening
