my 86 had a clutch problem,put it back together and I can't seem to get the mush out of the pedal,I've bled it three times and it still feels soft and won't go into gear.any bleeding tips?

Did you replace the clutch master cylinder and such? Id look there.

Sounds like the slave cylinder is shot.

You'll need an obstruction wrench to change that...

changed the master and the slave and it's still mushy,I'm going to try bleeding with a power bleeder tomorrow A.M.

vacuum bleeder is the way to go. Trust me on that one.
I've heard of people reverse bleeding the clutch with a big syringe and a pice of tube attached to the bleeder. That makes sense, pushing air up is easier than forcing it down.
I myself hooked up an electric vaccum pump and pulled a quart of fluid through it, worked fine ever since.
