Has anyone ever heard of a hand held electric tubing notcher?
Something along the lines of a grinder but using a barrel rather than a disk?
I have some crazy angle work to do on my wifes dune buggy (sorry not an XJ :D) and I can't use my press notcher and using a disk grinder kinda' sucks...
Any help here?

i've seen a barrel sander (air powered) used for fine tuning a cope, but it wouldn't work well for doing the whole cope. most notchers can be used with a hand held drill also.

A little trick I use for high angle notching is to cut out your notch in a cardboard tube, then slip the cardboard tube over the steel tube you want to notch, and simply trace the pattern onto the steel, then cut.

OH my GAWD!
I remember using that YEARS ago, and I just plane old forgot about it!
Using center lines and a chop saw....damn, I could have saved myself a ton of grief!
Thanks again
