Steering problems

I have a ome 3.5 on my jeep and everytime i turn the wheel i hear a loud popping noise. I just ordered a new HD tie rod because i needed to get a new one anyway and was wondering if i should buy the hd trackbar too because im pretty sure that my whole steering system needs to be replaced. So should i go Hd trackbar or just get an OEM replacement with ends?

track bar mount bolts may be loose, or worn end
have some one turn the wheel while your under it. Pinpoint the problem. if you hold the trac bar and can 'feel' it you narrowed it down.
