Im looking around for some new steering parts and found currie makes one that fits my budget.
my question is will this fit a lifted jeep? it says direct replacement to the stock set up, but iv learned most of the people selling this stuff knows nothing about off-road parts. not all but most.
my lift im running now is approx. 5.5-6 front and about 6 in the rear. right now she has a real bad DW when one side of the front axel dips into a pothole or something. this is partly the reason for the change.

did everything bolt right in? assuming you still had stock steering setup.

I'm on it over 3 years now...and yes, it's DESIGNED for lifted applications. Stock replacement means that it's a bolt-in app. Take the stock off, bolt this one in. The draglink ends are angled to allow full range back into the joints. Imagine your stock steering and how maxed out the end joints are...now 'bend' those ends to make them flat again. That's what they did. I've been absolutely pleased with mine. Zero complaints.

sounds like i got a winner!
a buddy of mine has the teraflex high steer, but when he got his he only paid like 400, and that was with some custom work. now they want like 500-750. way too much, wont leave any room for new tires!

Yes it works very beefy compaired to the stock setup and direct bolt in.

wow thanks for the help, think this is the fastest replies i have ever got for a topic.
i just wanted to make sure it wasnt something that was going to get me up the mountain and snap at the top!

I have the Currie steering too and it's a beefy piece. I bent my OEM tie rod in the first trip, now this one is straight and had received some abuse.... Now I need to go and crash some rocks to see how it handle....

I have the Currie setup as well. I actually bent my stock tie-rod at least three times, and my stock drag link once. The last time was when I bent the tie rod AND the drag link out in Johnson Valley, CA. I had enough.

It's beefy, but certainly not the end to the bent tie rod woes. I now have a little bow in my Currie setup after more trips out to Johnson Valley :D.

I know someone else who bent there's pretty good out there. Had to get it replaced. And someone else who didn't bend there's, but they came down hard on the tie-rod and the end snapped off. Good luck finding a replacement locally, only from Currie.

I'm definitely glad I have the setup, it's got a bunch of scraps and pits on it, that I know would have otherwise pretzeled a stock setup.

:flipoff:

last time i promise.
what steering stabalizer are you guys running with this setup?
looks like one that has a bolt thru on one end and the double u-bolts on the other end.
again open to all sugestions,
BTW: noticed the rig shifts to the left when turning left and visa versa:bawl:
this kit will fix a bit i hope but looks like im going to need to slap on some frame stiffiners(viagra for jeeps!)

err, track bar is getting tossed as well, the bushing on the pass. side is cooked! tightend it up some but with the loose bushing it still slips some. once all is done i will have to post some pics!:)

well once i get all my early x-mas stuff in and mounted, well see, may still put stiffiners or rock rails on just for extra support
FYI im the third owner of this vehical, all of which used it for off-roading.
i know for a fact the first owner rolled it on her pass side.

Factory one from Napa. Can't beat it. I've heard a a bunch of horror stories of aftermarket steering stablizers that were worse then the factory.
