WE NEED Jeeps! In case you havent heard there is a killer run happening this coming weeekend 23rd and 24th. We are leaving from Sparks, Nev and will be covering all types of terrain. Even traveling on some of the" Nevada 500" route, there is a little bit for everyone, we will visit Moonrocks also. You need tow hooks, 31' tires preferred and a L/S or locker would be good. Check the "Pirate 4x4.com " web site under Trail Rides for more info, but we need more Jeeps!!!

Ok quick update on the "Run to Reno" event, just got back from Moonrocks! WOW is it different!! We will be hitting Moonrocks late in the afternoon of the first day, let me tell ya, it rained last week and the place looks like a giant toilet flushed!! Some trails are not even there anymore! Some of the washes are 2 feet deeper, (cool) and there are rocks where only deep sand use to be, its a "new" place, I love the desert!!

Just curious, what other trails are you going to hit?

Actually we will end up at moonrocks, we start at the Fairfield inn and go cross country to Fernley, eat at the Truck Inn then go cross country to Pyramid Lake then on to Moonrocks, the second day we go out toward Gerlach, can you come?

Is there any camping? We don't mind 'dry' camping. :D

We will be staying at the Fairfield Inn ($79) You can camp for free at moonrocks and come to the hotel Sat & Sunday morning if you want. There is also the Western Village down the street, clean comfortable rooms for about $49 a night I think. We are showing up early Sat. morning, holding a pre ride meeting, then hitting the trail ending at moonrocks the first day, then ending back at the hotel the second day. Hope this helps, hope you come.
