Took my truck to Evanston to get it serviced today. Saw some interesting things.

First off I stopped at the Orion Windfarm
These things are Gigantic!

They produce 2.0 MVs and have a rotor diamiter of 80 Meters.

I am guessing the steam engine ran this wheel but I have no idea for what.

If I can butt in a bit-

Cool wind generators, I start work with a company this Wednesday that does much of the transmission line engineering for those, I hope I get to do some field work also- big stuff is always cool.

Also, where in Wyo do you guys go PD shooting? I've done a lot of coyote calling and about any other type of hunting, but I think it would be fun to take my son out for a pd shoot with my .223, can I get at least some general directions? PM is OK if you don't want to post it, thanks.

Yes, just not on weekends and 2 to 3 fridays each month and hilodays and the occasional sick day.
