Stock Wheel Sizes

I just picked up a set of 235/75R/15 BF Goodrich Longtrails on Jeep Wheels that supposedly came off a 91 Cherokee, a pic of the wheels can be found here: http://www3.telus.net/rsoffice/jeep/wheel.jpg

I curently have a set of turbine wheels on my 90 Laredo pictured here : http://www3.telus.net/rsoffice/jeep/laredo1.jpg

The wheels that I picked up today do not fit. The centre size is the same, and the bolt spacing lines up but there is no way I can get a set of lug nuts on these, the studs seem to be too short.

I am new to jeeps, so it would be nice to know what I'm missing ?

Thanks in advance

i actually belive u need special nuts for them rims

Those appear to be stock wrangler/cherokee wheels of that era. The lugs sit down inside of the holes. They are difficult to put on compared to your current wheels, but should be fine.

Yep, stock wheels for the early 90s. They're a challenge to line up due to having the lugs "recessed", but should be same backspacing as your turbines. Special lug nuts are not required.

One further thing I'd recommend is that if you don't have solid lug nuts and are still using the factory style ones with the caps that fall off, now is an excellent time to replace them.

Thanks for the replies, I got the rims on with no problems after work today. The depth of the rims really had me second guessing things, but once one nut was on the rest were a piece of cake.
