Soooooooo,
wanna plan for the 1st and 2nd (3rd possibly)?
or,
wanna plan for the 8th and 9th (10th possibly)?
I can be down there on Friday night and stay till Monday.
I'll have the popup and an extra bed.
Oh, and are we talking Clayton or Disney?
Ramsey
June 5th, 2006, 21:14
which do you like more?
Disney's fun, but it's a more all-around experience; ie. moderate to extreme Rocks, hard-bottom river, trails, and Grand Lake.
Not really a disappointment, by any means.
But, come on, definitely Green Acres, no doubt!
For a full on assault of your skills and rig, there's not much more challenging rock anywhere.
Also, cheap motels for those that don't camp.

It does not matter which place for me really ... not been to either place. Isn't Green Acres the place where you (OT) had pics of the buggy that had to use a tree to winch high enough for repairs?
Just guessing at this time, but the weekend of the 8th sounds better for me because of vacation scheduling at work, and travel conditions (holiday weekend ya know). I'll check the former this AM when I get (back) to work ...

My birthday is the 2nd, so the 7,8,9 time frame would be better. Disney is 6 hours for me versus about 10 to Clayton, and my rig isn't as EXTREME as yours.

I'd like to go to Disney or Clayton. I'd prefer not having to pay a Membership Fee on top of the Day Fee at Superlift.. I'm driving 10 plus hours which will cost me enough ... don't need the extra costs.
Plus ... I like Clayton. If Disney even comes close to the trails at Clayton, then I want to run them.
Les
PS: The vacation request goes in tomorrow.
I pretty much agree with you, Les.
Personally, I'd rather do Superlift at another time.
I haven't been to Disney in over a year and wouldn't mind going back.
I know that makes a longer drive for a couple of folks, but you wouldn't be disappointed with Disney, trust me.
Plus Disney's free to wheel, with a campground with showers right there.

I got the HP 30 installed today. New trans mount, and both diffs got new fluid. However, the Jeep is still on my buddy's lift because the transfer case pump is broken where the pickup tube goes into it. The AA sye is installed. Just have to get a pump (hopefully tommorrow morning) and put the case back together. Then my TW shaft goes in.
Hopefully this week sometime my new 4* shims and ubolts will come in. I may not need the shims. I bought them for back up in case of bad vibes. I have 6* in there now. We'll see.
The week after that.... Rails. Something deep inside me says Aussie. I'm trying to fight the demons telling me to do it though.
The following week... I will head to AR, where I will drink my ass off. Untill the 7th. When I will sober up long enough to drive to Disney, OK and continue my binge.
I now have spare front shafts. I've never had that before. Both of my brothers will be coming with me to camp at Disney. If one of you guys have an extra seat, maybe you could let one of them spot/ride shotgun with you.
