Of my 34th birthday (since some of you asked - see here) (http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=87071), I thought it would be fun to start a little trivia...

The subject? Song lines
The restriction? Has to have been on a Dr. Demento show or collection! I've always enjoyed him...
The rules? If you guess correctly, you get to post the next one. If you get the title and artist correct, you get to post two.

The opener? "Turns out there was a reason/cows were out of season/and one of the hunters wasn't insured."

Now, to just get my grandson properly warped - starting in a few years...

I'll be back from maths class in a little while...

Me again - "One of my legs is shorter than the other/and both of my feet's too long."

The restriction? Has to have been on a Dr. Demento show or collection! That rules out what, 50% of the members of NAXJA? http://www.timbercrawler.com/bb/images/smiles/yahoo_think.gif

Well, if I'd left it wide open, I'd not be able to play (since I can't keep up with most of this drivel they call "music" these days. Frankly, I could do better by stepping on the tails of fifty assorted dogs...)

I figured Dr. Demento would be just odd enough to make it interesting, and give us "Olde Pharts" a chance to keep up. Besides, it's also a chance to show how truly warped you are...

I love the dr. demento show!!! My dad, after cleaning the trout we'd caught in the day, would stick his finger in the back of its head and make it sing,

"I took a fish head, out to see a movie,
I didn't have to pay to get him in..........."

P.S.

Happay belated birthday!

PPS.
Music today IS crap!

Aw geez - why not start with Mojo Nixon and Skid Roper? Something like, "I Ain't Gonna Piss In No Jar" seem appropriate...

I shan't argue one point with you - music to-day IS crap! I'd almost rather see disco come back ("Death Before Disco!") than listed to "new rock," "boy bands," or "Gangsta."

Most of the kids at school don't understand why I like what I like - but most of it is older than they are, so I begin to wonder...
