My wife told me about this last night.

The best line in the whole blurb - "Autry will not be charged." Good on him - out here, he'd probably catch a murder case and some malicious wounding nonsense...

Reverting to type need not be a bad thing - depends on what "type" you revert to...

"Carry on, Marine!"

That was all over the news/radio stations when it first happened. I was happy to hear they didn't try to give him any bs charges. That goes to show you should be carefull...you might just be picking on a Marine :D.

Good for him. I get so sick of hearing all the negativity in the news. Nice to have the good guy win.

That dude is a hardass. He kicked a shotgun out of one guys hand while stabbing a girl. Thats borderline Chuck Norris.

good for the Marine, sounds like street justice prevailed for once. once the war is over(if ever) maybe we should put Marines on the streets to clean up the gang bangers.

I was chatting about the very same thing with a customer (former Marine) the other day. Of course I *was* quick to point out that the only one killed was the 17-year-old female in the group. ;)

The sad thing is that if he had defended himself with a firearm, the story would have never been told.

No one checks the sex of the attacker during the attack. You live by violence, you die by violence. And believe me, women can be much more violent in an attack than a dude.

Yeah that is so true.
My cousin was arguing with his girlfriend one night. They were both at their friends’ house and somehow managed to fall down an embankment. The neighbors heard all the commotion and called the police. He was arrested for domestic violence. Posted out on $1,000 bail and no charges were ever brought against him by his girlfriend because it was an accident. They are still dating to this day. The police said that this happens all the time and that they "have to take him in." BS man I really hate California sometimes.

She kinda put herself in that position......

Sad part is that happened in Illinois, he would be charged with assault on a minor, self defense or not, and have what ever community she was from up in arms.

In stride, my friends... Just funning around with the age and sex. I know as well as anyone else that there's no such thing as a fair fight and age/sex of an attacker aren't important.

I just thought of this, does Georga have a law that puts criminals on trial for murder if somebody (including one of their own) dies in the commision of a crime?

Capital idea! I don't suppose Chicago has gotten smart enough to pass a law like that? I've not heard of one, but it's well worth looking in to...

As far as defending yourself - if you kill someone while defending yourself from a crime being committed, you should get an automatic walk (and I don't care what the liberal judges we're inflicted with say.) Someone gets killed? Chalk it up to "died of the dumbs" and leave it at that. Once it happens a few times, people might wise up a little...

Not really. If it actually happened in Illinois, and not King Daley's Utopia, or St. Louis' accident he probably wouldn't be charged.
