Fuel Pressure regulator

I was looking at the 4wd catalog and they offer an adjustable regulator (way too much$$) and it looks just like a device on the front end of my fuel rail. Is that where the regulator is? If so has anyone bought the stock one?
BTW how much is the BMW part??
